$100.00
Initial Visit includes evaluation/assessment of condition and treatment along with dry needling (including electro-needling). Dry needling is a form of therapy in which fine filament needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points – i.e. painful knots in muscles, tendons, ligaments, or near nerves – in order to stimulate a healing response and decrease pain in many musculoskeletal conditions. Dry needling differs from acupuncture by means of the philosophy, clinical reasoning, and conditions treated by these procedures. Unlike acupuncture, dry needling does not have the purpose of altering the flow of energy (“Qi”) along traditional Chinese meridians but is a Western medicine, science-based intervention for the treatment of pain and dysfunction in musculoskeletal conditions.
